Hi there! I’m Amy Orth, the face behind Seasons of Amy, and I’m so glad you stopped by! My life is a blend of home DIY projects, decorating, homeschooling, and all the little adventures life brings my way. This blog is my passion project—a place to share it all! And since I can never quite settle on just one niche (hello, fellow hobby jumpers!), Seasons of Amy captures every “season” of my life.
Why I Started Blogging
Blogging came to me as a much-needed outlet. I’m a stay at home mom looking to connect with others about things I love! With Seasons of Amy, I get to share my latest home DIY projects, thrifty finds, kids’ activities, and my journey with homeschooling. Being here allows me to invite you into our day-to-day life, where there’s always something new I’m learning or doing. Plus, as a mom, this blog gives me a little something of my own, that I am doing FOR ME. (iykyk)
Turning Our House into a Home, One Project at a Time
We moved into our house in 2023, and I have a million dreams for every room. With my home DIY projects and my passion for curating a beautiful, functional, personalized space for our family, I hope to create core memories my kids will carry with them forever. Time and budget don’t always keep up with my ideas, but little by little, this place is becoming everything I’d dreamed of.
Homeschooling & Embracing the Learning Curve
Homeschooling has been a whole adventure in itself. I’m still learning as we go, but I’m committed to teaching my kids all the way through college or whatever path they choose. Every day with them is an opportunity to explore, create, and grow together. Homeschooling has also taught me that balance is key, whether it’s balancing healthy living with what’s practical or finding time for myself amidst motherhood and home projects. It’s all about creating a flexible lifestyle that works for our family.
A Few Fun Facts About Me
Once this busy season of homeschooling is over (and if our finances allow it), I dream of going back to school to study naturopathic medicine. I am so passionate about how our lifestyle choices impact our quality of life. I also am skeptical (to say the least) of pharmaceutical companies, politicians, and the heads of governing bodies valuing people over profit. That being said, I am the mom that spends most of our grocery budget on pasture raised beef, just to have PopTarts and Goldfish in the same basket! Balance is key, I suppose.
Let’s Connect!
I would absolutely love to connect with you—whether it’s over home decorating, home DIY projects, homeschooling, or mom life! I am still working on improving my social media skills, but you can still reach me on Instagram and TikTok (@omyarth), or simply drop a message on my contact page here. Thank you for being part of this journey with me; here’s to making every season a beautiful one!
